NIKE Inc.

Introduction

Nike Inc. is an American multinational corporation that is engaged in the design, development, manufacturing, and worldwide marketing and sales of footwear, apparel, equipment, accessories, and services. The company is headquartered near Beaverton, Oregon, in the Portland metropolitan area.
Nike was looking to engage a technology for its Asia product launch with a sporting competition for female.

Requirement

NIKE was looking to launch products for female in Asia with a sporting event. This event had 7000+ female participating in 04 sports during the event and Nike was looking for a technology to click pictures of each participant with immediate tagging of photos to the respective participants.
The photo tagging was required for participants to further promote the pictures within their network which in-turn would multiply Nike’s product promotion.

Challenge

With an expected participation of 7000+ participants, the organising committee had no options to LIVE tag their photos and distribute it to their mail IDs. Any delay in tagging and sending the photos to the participants would have diluted the promotion plan of the brand.
Chkdin were approached to give a solution which can click photos using a technology that can auto tag and send the photos to the respective participants at real time.

Solutions

Chkdin offered its unique QR code based photo clicking application which could click photos during the event and immediately mail the pictures to the participants mail ID. A QR code was to be generated for all participants at the time of online registration and the on-ground execution was planned using the same.

Execution

The on-ground implementation of the technology was executed at multiple interactions:

Online registration : A unique QR code was sent to the registrant.

On site check-in : On scan of QR code the participants were allowed the entry to the event venue.

Games : Multiple mobile based cameras were placed at each game centres to scan the QR code of the participant and click pictures when they play the game.

Photo Tagging : The application automatically tagged the photos of a participant with their QR codes.

Photo Distribution : All participants received a mail with their photo links which in turn they shared over their social media.

Summary

A total of 7320 female participants had participated in the event over the 4 games where they were managed without any issues and a footprint analytics of the activities for the entire event was captured and delivered to the organising committee.
